DOVER, TN: Veterans wanted.

This year’s Eagle Fest celebrates Freedom and Stewart County Mayor Rick Joiner wants to ensure that veterans who call Dover home are represented and honored. EagleFest: A Salute to Freedom, will be held on May 16-17.

If you know of a World  War II veteran living in Stewart County, call 931-232-3100 to endure that veteran is in on the county’s list. The veteran need not have been a resident of Stewart County at the time of service.

Regardless of whether a veteran is able to attend the event, Eagle Fest plans to honor each and every one. Accommodations will be made for those who can attend and a meal will be provided for them.

Eagle Fest pageants are slated for May 3 at the SCHS Annex.

The Eagle Fest line-up includes the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast and Espinoza Del Diablo bike race which runs through LBL. Following opening ceremonies, the days events include children’s pony rides, vendors, inflatables, a petting zoo, entertainment and fireworks.

Call Dover Town Hall at 931-232-5907 for more information.
