Springfield man killed, two women wounded at South Guthrie party

An early morning shooting in Northeast Montgomery County left one man dead and two women injured, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting took place at a party in an Edlin Street public venue, south of Guthrie, KY, where a fight broke out and was carried outdoors. According to the report, two or three of the assailants started shooting, killing Ralphthaniel Magee of Springfield and injuring two women, who were able to drive themselves  to receive medical attention.

Authorities believe most of the partygoers were from Springfield and are seeking information from anyone who might have witnessed the events at the party. If anyone knows anything about the events that took place, call MCSO Sergeant Steve Heise at 931-648-0611.
