Parking restriction imposed for Downtown Market

downtown-logo11

As of June 28, visitors to the Clarksville Downtown Farmer’s Market on Public Square, will no longer be allowed to park along the yellow median on the road.  Signs will be posted stating no parking is allowed along that area. Clarksville Police will be ticketing individuals that park in this area.

This issue has become a safety concern over the past few weeks.  If a fire truck or other emergency vehicle needed to be on the Square, it will be almost impossible to get them through the tight areas.

Please look for parking spaces at the parking garages located on Franklin Street, on Second Street in front of the County Court House or along any of the other downtown streets as the meters are not in service on Saturday mornings.

Market organizers appreciate your understanding and patience as they implement this policy and try to provide a much safer environment and enjoyable event.
