Big Lots recalls Resin Wicker Ottoman

Consumer products are often tested for compliance with federal and state safety standards and regulations. These efforts are taken in the interests of protecting the public and ensuring quality and consistency in the marketplace. Various federal and state agencies release their findings when a product fails their testing or reports are received alerting them to potential safety hazards.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a product recall notice for the following item. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (, is an independent federal regulatory agency, located at 4330 East West Highway, Bethesda, MD 20814  Toll-free hotline: (800) 638-2772.  It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

This recall notice is dated June 12, 2014, Recall Nbr 14-206. Business Clarksville publishes these reports for the benefit of our readers and the general public.

Fisher & Wilson brand Resin Wicker Ottoman – recalled by Big Lots

Big Lots has announced the recalled of the Wilson and Fisher brand Cayman Resin Wicker Ottoman. 

The Wilson and Fisher brand ottomans are dark brown resin wicker with cream colored cushions. They are part of a six-piece Cayman Resin Wicker seating set consisting of two ottomans, two chairs, a sofa and a table.  The recalled sets will have item number DA13-015-6S-2CO and SKU 810140754, which can be found in the instructions that accompany the sets.

The ottoman was sold exclusively at Big Lots stores nationwide from February 2014 through March 2014 for about $320 per set.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ottomans and return them to any Big Lots store for a $50 refund each.  Customers will be allowed to keep the remaining pieces in the sets.
