Kevin George Jones, charged with rape

A Clarksville man  was arrested Nov. 4 on rape charges related to an assault in the Providence Boulevard area.

Clarksville police  were called to a Peachers Mill Road business on November 4  in reference to an assault.  A 38-year-old woman told officers she was walking in the area of Providence Blvd. when she accepted a ride from a man, later identified as Kevin George Jones, who was driving a Chevy Tahoe, TN tag- 481 XLK. The woman stated they discussed trading sex for money, but when they did not reach an agreement the woman attempted to exit the vehicle.  However, the passenger  side door handle did not function.

The man pulled into a parking lot and told the victim she was going to sex with him. Becoming afraid at this point, she relented. The man forced the woman to have sex without her consent and struck her in the face several times. He forced the woman back into the vehicle, took her to the Trice Landing Boat Dock where he backed the vehicle until the back was in the water. He then told the woman to exit the vehicle and put her on her knees in the water. He forced her to have sex, grabbing her by the hair and striking her at times. He then forced her head under water to the point she thought she was going to drown.

When the rape was completed, the man drove to business on the 1500 block of Fort Campbell Blvd., and ordered the woman to remain naked in the vehicle. She took this opportunity to escape, wearing a coat she grabbed as she fled. Flagging down a car, she was taken to another store where she was able to contact police. The lead investigator is Detective Nick Newman.
