Weather forecast puts Christmas parade in jeopardy

The Budweiser Clydesdales

This week’s wintry weather has put the city’s 54th  annual Christmas Parade in jeopardy.

According to Montgomery County Communications Director Elizabeth Black, a decision on whether the Parade will step off at 5 p.m. Saturday, December 7, will be made by 10 a.m. that day.

Black said parade entrants would be notified by e-mail according to entry form data.

Black said the parade would no be rescheduled due to the difficulty of pulling together all the parts of the parade from business and bands to the presence of the famous Budweiser Clydesdales.

While the city hopes for the best outcomes, they are preparing for the worst.
