Clarksville Gas and Water has planned water valve replacement work on Wednesday, August 20, at 4:00 p.m. on Washington Street.

Water service will be turned off at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Washington, Elder, Martin and a section of Crossland Avenue between Elder and Cumberland Drive. Area residents may experience low water pressure during the work.

Construction crews will be working at the intersections of Cumberland Drive and Elder Street and will close Washington Street between Cumberland Drive and Martin Street. Motorists will be detoured to Cumberland Drive and Martin Street.

The valve replacement work is anticipated to be finished and water restored and the road reopened by approximately 12:00 a.m.
