Walk Off Crime 5K Walk happens September 28


You Have the Power ( and the Tennessee Dept. of Corrections will host “Walk Off Crime for No More Victims” 5K Walk this weekend, September 28. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. The Walk begins at 10 a.m.

The walk will start and end at the Nashville Metro Courthouse steps at 2nd Avenue and Union Street. The route will proceed through downtown Nashville and back to the Courthouse.

This is the signature event for You Have the Power—Know How to Use It. The Walk  celebrates the organization’s 20 years of serving the community as a statewide non-profit victim advocacy organization. Founded in 1993 by former First Lady Andrea Conte, who was herself a victim of kidnapping in 1998, the organization’s mission is to advocate, educate and empower victims and communities impacted by violent crime. Conte will lead the walk.
