The Clarksville Police Department Traffic Enforcement Unit, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Eagleville Police Department, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, White House Police Department, and Franklin Police Department joined forces recently to conduct Sobriety Checkpoints at the state line of Tennessee and Alabama on State Route 231.

These agencies, through the Governor’s Highway Safety Office (GHSO), joined hands to demonstrate their joint commitment to lowering impaired driving and encouraging child passenger safety.

The GHSO’s mission is to develop, execute and evaluate programs to reduce the number of fatalities, injuries and related economic losses resulting from traffic crashes on Tennessee’s roadways.

The Hands Across the Border event was partially funded by the Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
