A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Montgomery, Stewart, Houston, Dickson, Davidson and other Middle and West Tennessee Counties until 4 a.m. Tuesday morning.

A line of storms capable of producing strong straight line winds, large hail, heavy rainfall and also a couple of tornadoes will move through western portions of the state and Middle Tennessee this evening, hitting the I-65 corridor by mid evening. Rainfall may lead to localized flooding.

The potential for heavy rain and flash flooding exists again on Tuesday with a slight risk of severe thunderstorms  with damaging winds across Middle Tennessee. A significant severe weather event is expected.
