Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools will remain closed on Wednesday, January 8 because of multiple weather related problems.

The department’s schools have experienced multiple mechanical failures attributed to the single-digit temperatures on Monday night and Tuesday.

Burst water pipes, heating issues and power outages led to the  cancellation of school on Wednesday. The department also included the possibility of mechanical problems on buses due to the cold weather. As temperatures moderate on Thursday, CMCSS expects to reopen all schools.
