Rain, snow showers fill weekend forecast

The National Weather Service calls for a slight chance of light snow to mix with rain late this afternoon and evening across the northern half of Middle Tennessee. No snow accumulation is expected.

The the bulk of precipitation on Friday and Saturday is expected to be rain, more light snow showers are predicted for Saturday night into Sunday morning across the mid-state, especially across the Cumberland Plateau.

Today’s nigh will reach 45 degrees, falling to the freezing mark or slightly above tonight, Saturday’s high will be 43 degrees. dropping into the mid 20s Saturday night. Sunday’s high will be 34 with a slight possibility of snow before 7 a.m. Sunday will turn sunny with a high of 34.
