Early Saturday morning, the Clarksville Police Department responded to a carjacking at the Exxon convenience markt on Dover Road.

The victim advised police that someone attacked him, took his car keys, and then drove off with his vehicle.

According to reports, a white male, mid-30s, wearing a white hat, white shirt, and blue jeans walked up to the victim and attacked him. The suspect asked for his keys and wallet and began grabbing and pushing him. A fight ensued that went all the way back into the store.

At this time, the store clerk saw what was going on and yelled at the suspect. The suspect was able to take the car keys from the victim, and before the suspect went out the door, he climbed over the counter, ripped the cash register off and ran out the door with it.

He used the stolen car keys to start the victim’s vehicle and drove off toward Providence Boulevard. Shortly after, Officers located the vehicle wrecked out at a location on Locust Drive. The suspect fled on foot.

After an extensive search, the officers were unable to locate the suspect.

There are no leads or suspects at this time. Detective Kevin Shaw was called to the scene and was able to provide photos of the suspect, which are included in this release.
