Airport Road and Outlaw Field Road  were closed and traffic rerouted  for a brief time following a minor train derailment.

Several 60-foot long flat cars were switching from one set of tracks to another parallel set when the derailment occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The empty flat cars were en route from a storage facility to Fort Campbell. A crane was called in to move the flat cars, which derailed in front of the Outlaw Field terminal.

The train was leaving a storage facility en route to Fort Campbell, but the flat cars were empty. No injuries were reported.
