Man charged with Aggravated Assault being held on $50,000 bond

A Clarksville man was charged with Aggravated Assault and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond  following an incident on Saturday morning.

Tamonda Kyrin Hill, 22, of 633 Lafayette Road, was charged after he attempted  to fire an assault rifle at another man.

According to a warrant, police arrived at the 3500 block of Aurora Drive just after 4:30 a.m. on Saturday. Upon speaking with the victim, they learned he was outside his garage when a jeep pulled upand Hill emerged, pointing an AK47 which he pointed at him and pulled the trigger. The weapon failed to fire and the victim ran indoors.

A woman confirmed the victim’s story and identified the man as Hill.  She told hill to get back inside the jeep and he did so.
