August is proving to be an exciting month for Tennessee’s entrepreneurs! Over the past few weeks, Tennessee has been home to four accelerator demo days spanning across the three grand divisions of the state.
Three of the four demo days were held throughout the week of August 5th. These events covered a variety of industries, including medical devices from the nation’s first cohort-based medical device accelerator, Zeroto510 in Memphis, innovative ideas from one of the country’s only accelerators focused on the automotive industry, autoXLR8R in Spring Hill, and technology from the world’s only accelerator on a living fiber network—which provides one-gigabit-per-second fiber Internet service, GIGTANK in Chattanooga.
Jumpstart Foundry, the accelerator cohort associated with the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, held its demo day on Aug. 22 with eight graduating companies. Now in it’s 4th year of operations, Jumpstart Foundry has become the leading business accelerator in the Southeast.
To spur even more entrepreneurial growth for our state, LaunchTN has developed The TENN, a master accelerator program for graduates of TN’s nine regional accelerators. The TENN kicks off the week with a statewide demo day on Tuesday, August 27. Twenty selected teams will give presentations in hopes to be chosen as one of The TENN. The presenting companies, broken down by region, are:
East Tennessee – HutGrip, FwdHealth, HATponics, Vendor Registry, Survature, Renewable Algal Energy
Middle Tennessee – eClinicHealthcare, InCrowd Capital, Gun.io, Got You In, NewsBreak, Ecoviate, Green Dot Charging, Mach Fuels, Graphenics
West Tennessee – ADVANCE Inventions, Mobilizer, Screwpulp, Health & Bliss, View Medical.
