Early morning murder linked to domestic assault

Clarksville Police have arrested a Clarksville man for the murder of his father in what is described as a case of domestic assault early Thursday morning.

Police responded to a domestic assault call on Howard Street at 1:11 a.m. Upon arrival, they found that Britton Jemison, 58, had sustained injuries that appeared consistent with an assault.

Jemison was transported to Gateway Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.murderer

Responding officers arrested the man’s son, Tyran Jemison, 41.

Tyran Jemison, of 809 Howard Street, will face charges with homicide and booked into Montgomery County Jail on $250,000 bond.
