On New Year’s Eve, the Clarksville Transit System will again offer safe rides home.  “Operation Safe Ride” is a free service open to anyone who is too impaired to drive home.  People who live within the Clarksville city limits can call for a ride between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 4 a.m. for a ride home.

Anyone who cannot, or should not, drive home on New Year’s Eve can call 931-553-2429 to request a ride. Information is also being posted in restaurants, bars and other stores around town with the phone number. CTS emphasizes that this is not a shuttle service. People will be picked up at their location and driven directly home.
