Christmas Parade cancelled due to weather conditions

Following numerous cancellations from parade participants including the Budweiser Clydesdales and bands that are unable to perform under the current weather conditions, City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan and Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers are cancelling this year’s Christmas Parade. There is no plan to reschedule due to scheduling conflicts.

The City and County will continue with the tree lighting ceremonies for both the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County. The City tree lighting will take place on Public Square and the County tree lighting will take place on the Courthouse Plaza. Both are scheduled for 5 p.m. Santa will make an appearance at both ceremonies and hot chocolate and cookies will be available.

The public is invited to participate in these great ceremonies.
