“Breaking the Glass Ceiling” with Merriel Bullock-Neal

The Women For Bullock-Neal for Juvenile Court Judge are hosting a luncheon titled Breaking The Glass Ceiling on May 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.  at the Clarksville Country Club, 334 Fairway Drive, Clarksville.

This event will look at some of the obstacles that have prevented women from advancing in their careers. It will also discuss networking and making recommendations for overcoming the obstacles women encountered on their individual journeys to success.

Dr. Merriel Bullock-Neal has been selected as the keynote speaker.  Licensed as an attorney, with degrees in school psychology, and special education has given her the experience to speak truthfully on the obstacles women face in pursuing their career. She is also a candidate for Montgomery County Juvenile Court Judge.

With a Law Degree and Ph. D. in Special Education with support fields in Clinical Child Psychology and Family Therapy from The American University, Dr. Merriel Bullock-Neal is uniquely qualified to serve as Juvenile Court Judge for Montgomery County. As a general practitioner in the areas of civil and criminal law, she has litigated cases in Juvenile Court, General Sessions, Circuit Court, Chancery Court, Court of Appeals and US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. Additionally, Dr. Merriel Bullock–Neal has chaired the Joint Conference on Juvenile Justice for years.

“In my general practice I have worked in many areas of civil and criminal law and I have litigated cases in Juvenile Court, General Sessions, Circuit Court and other courts throughout Middle Tennessee,” Dr. Bullock-Neal explained. “During this time I have hoped to be an example of what any person can do when they put their mind to it, this is why I am honored to be speaking at the Breaking The Glass Ceiling Luncheon.”
