ASC’s 4 on the 4th Birthday Run/Walk openings available

A Soldier’s Child Foundation is hosting its Inaugural 4 on the 4th Birthday Run/Walk on July 4. Race start time is 7 a.m. The race starts and ends at Providence Christian Academy, 410 Dejarnette Lane, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. All proceeds benefit A Soldier’s Child Foundation.

Runners may register online for $25 before race day.  Race day registration is $35. Register online at www.asoldierschild.org. Every runner receives a T-Shirt. Food will be provided by Chick-Fil-A.

Small business and corporate sponsorships are available at four varying levels – Corporate General, Colonel, Lieutenant and Citizen Soldier. For details, contact Terri Parker: terri@asoldierschild.org or (615) 306-3770.

Runners may solicit sponsorship dollars from friends and family to help ASC adopt more children into our organization and celebrate their birthdays, send them to our Journey Camp and in college scholarships. Sponsorship clubs are in three levels: Presidents Pledge Club ($450 in Sponsorships), The General Charge Club ($300 in Sponsorships), and Corporate Colonels Club ($150 in Sponsorships). Club runners can receive gift items ranging from an ASC Water Bottle to the water bottle , an ASC running hat and an ASC T-Shirt, depending on club level.
Volunteer positions are still available. ASC needs 100 volunteers to work the race on the 4th. Many will be helping monitor the course at each incoming road and intersections. Sign-up is easy.

Work begins on Murfreesboro’s Broad Street Intersection

Starting Friday, crews began preliminary construction activities such as installing construction signs and marking the project boundaries. This work will not impact traffic. In February, crews will begin relocating utilities.

ASC seeks volunteers for birthdays shop/wrap activity

The shopping event will be August 19 at Walmart, 2000 Old Fort Parkway, Murfreesboro, 37129. Wrapping will be held the following Tuesday, August 20.
