Wranglers Campground at Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area plays host to the 17th Annual Rodeo and Grand Jubilee Friday and Saturday, July 19 and 20. Enjoy half price camping, games, and other activities for the kids, as well as a rodeo starting at 8pm both nights.
The rodeo is open to the public. Admission is $10 ages 13 and up and $5 ages 12 and under. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. Coolers are prohibited; however, concessions will be available.
Championship Productions Rodeo from Monticello, Arkansas will operate the rodeo this year. Events include Jr. Barrel Racing, Bareback Riding, Break-Away Roping, Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Barrel Racing, and Bull Riding. Competitors may register on Monday, July 15, between 9am and 10pm (CST) by calling 1-870-224-5774.
“This is an opportunity to see something a little different. “The rodeo is a great family friendly event with fun activities for the kids. You can even have your picture taken with ‘Winchester’, the gentle Brahma Bull,” says Jamey Thweatt, Assistant Manager at Wranglers.
Come Outside and Play at Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area. Managed by the Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Land Between The Lakes provides outdoor recreation, lake access, and environmental education for the public to enjoy.
