Between the Rivers” Homecoming planned at LBL

GOLDEN POND, KY:  Former residents of the area now known as Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area will gather on Sunday, August 10, at Fenton for their annual Homecoming. All former residents, relatives, and friends are invited.

Those attending should bring food, beverages, lawn chairs, and any other picnic or recreation items they wish. Restrooms, picnic tables, grills, and drinking water are provided. Fenton is located east of the Eggner’s Ferry Bridge on US68/KY80; the reunion will take place at the pavilion.

The 43rd Annual Between the Rivers Homecoming celebrates former residents of the Trigg County, KY, portion of Land Between The Lakes and provides an opportunity for former Between the Rivers residents to visit and share stories.

Between the Rivers Homecomings are also planned for Stewart County, TN, at the Bison Range Picnic Area, August 31, and Lyon County, KY, Sept. 20, at the Star Camp Picnic Area. More information will be available for these events at a later date. Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area manages more than 170,000 acres in western Kentucky and Tennessee as part of the U.S. Forest Service and the Department of Agriculture’s public lands program. Land Between The Lakes offers outdoor recreation, lake access, land management, and environmental education to over 1.4 million visitors annually.

The Friends of Land Between The Lakes works in partnership with the Forest Service providing program services, funds development, and volunteer support.
