Festival organizer’s have announced several street closures, parking options and general information about this week’s Rivers & Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville. The free festival
features five music and entertainment stages along with arts and crafts, marketplace, food vendors and activities for all ages. No pets are allowed and firearms are completely prohibited.
Festival hours are: Thursday, 5–10 p.m.; Friday, 5–10 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
•Wednesday, 7 a.m.: Public Square in front of F&M Bank
•Thursday, 7 a.m.: All of Public Square; Franklin Street from First Street to Public Square; First Street from Franklin Street to Main Street; and Strawberry Alley.
•Friday, 7 a.m.: Downtown will be blocked off from Public Square to Fourth Street and Madison Street to Main Street.
Street closures will continue though 7 a.m. Sunday morning.
The CTA will close its Legion Street station during the festival. On Friday and Saturday the alternate staging area for the Transit Center will be behind the Disciples of Christ Church on Cooper Place, between Union and Academy Streets. Bus routes will not change and any questions can be directed to 931-553-2429. Service from the Legion Street Station will resume on Monday.

* First Baptist Church lot off of Commerce Street
* All bank lots beginning Saturday
* Handicapped parking is available in the parking garage off Commerce Street in front of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department on the first levelIt is accessible from Riverside Drive.
Please be mindful of the business, private and residential parking in downtown area.
Limited seating is available around the event. Festival-goers are urged to bring their own folding or camping chairs.
Food and drink:
Attendees must use festival tickets to buy food and drink from vendors throughout the festival area. Buy tickets early to avoid long lines. Tickets will be on sale at various booths throughout downtown. Credit/debit cards will be accepted at all of the ticket booths.
Please recycle plastic and aluminum in the bins provided throughout the festival area.
Pocket-sized printed festival guides from The Leaf-Chronicle will be available at several festival booths.
