He will be at APSU from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 2 in the Morgan University Center Ballroom. The Economic Forum with the Fed is intended to acquaint Jones with the Clarksville community and to exchange observations about regional economic conditions, industry trends and outlooks. The APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and the Department of Languages and Literature present a lecture by poet and translator Coleman Barks for the 2010 Asanbe Diversity Symposium. APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and the Customs House Museum present the independent film The Reckoning: The Battle for the International Criminal Court 2 p.m., March 6, in the Clement Auditorium on the APSU campus. Audience Q&A follows the film. This eventis part of The Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers and is free for Austin Peay students and the general public. The Reckoning, a feature-length documentary filmed in High Definition on four continents, follows the dynamic and charismatic International Criminal Court (ICC)as they issue arrest warrants for the Lord’s Resistance Army leaders in Uganda, put four Congolese warlords on trial at The Hague, challenge the United Nations Security Council to support the Court’s call for an arrest warrant for the President of Sudan on charges of genocide.

Photographer and graphic designer Tammy Cunningham will teach two classes each Monday night for four weeks. The first class for digital point and shoot cameras is held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the meeting room. The second classes for digital SLR camera users will be held from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. and students will learn to maneuver through the camera menu and settings first. Then they will move on to basic exposure, white balance, ISO, aperture and shutter speed. This class will also explore photo composition and shooting styles. Classes are for ages 18 and up. The cost for each series of classes is $40. For more information call 931-647-3056.

Reading by Fiction Writer and Essayist Michael Martone, March 31, 8 p.m., APSU Morgan University Center. Martone is the author of two collections of non-fiction, including The Flatness and Other Landscapes and seven works of fiction, including the self-titled fictional autobiography, Michael Martone. He is professor of English and director of the Creative Writing Program at the University of Alabama. A reception and book signing will follow the reading.
