No TDOT lane closures for Labor Day weekend
More than 600,000 Tennesseans are expected to travel by car on the Labor Day holiday. While lane closure activity will be stopped, workers will still be on site in many construction zones. Drivers convicted of speeding in work zones where workers are present face a fine of $250 to $500, plus court fees and possible increased insurance premiums.

The National Guard task force is composed of a mix of Army National Guard Soldiers and Air National Guard Airmen with a variety of skills and backgrounds in agriculture matters.
Bredesen announces $18.5 million in transportation grants
Grants to fund projects in 34 Tennessee communities, plus one statewide project. Grants include $1.3 million for Phase II rehabilitation of RJ Corman bridge in Montgomery County.
TDOT, Stewart County mark end of Highway 79 road-widening projec
