County jobless rate drops to 5.3%

The jobless rate for Clarksville/Montgomery County has dropped .4% to 5.3 %, according to the Department of Labor and Workforce Development. That’s below the national average of 5.4% and the state average of 6%.

In the larger Clarksville, Tennessee-Kentucky Metropolitan Statistical Area, the jobless rate continues to fall with a regional rate of 5.4% DOWN .4%. Along with Montgomery County, the MSA includes Christian and Trigg counties in Kentucky.
