Fort Donelson Book Club August pick: “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”

The Fort Donelson Monthly Book Club announces its August reading selection- Harriet Beecher Stowe ‘s classic, “Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Both units of the book club, Fort Donelson and Calloway Public Library, will be reading the novel and discussing its significance in the coming Civil War.

 

CallowayCountyPblcLibrary_1-logoThe Calloway County Public Library unit will meet Sunday, August 18, at 3 p.m. at the library, 710 Main Street, Murray, Kentucky.

The Fort Donelson unit will meet on August 29, 3 p.m. at the Fort Donelson Visitor Center, 174 National Cemetery Road, in Dover, Tennessee.

Some free copies are available at both sites for participants. The book club is open to all and all are welcome.
