Betty Pierce Liles hosted by DAC Gallery

DAC (Downtown Downtown Artists Cooperative) and HAG (Hopkinsville Artists Guild) artist Betty Pierce Liles opens her solo show this week with a reception at the DAC gallery during First Thursday ArtWalk  on July 3rd. The artist will be exhibiting paintings from the past year and a half, with still life being her most recent focus.

She writes, “This is a change from what I normally paint… portraits or plein air landscapes or abstracts,” all of which she still enjoys. The still life genre allows more comfortable “breaks and doesn’t move—always holds the same pose.” Her work is detailed and exquisite with the nuanced but brilliant light and shading reminiscent of some Old Masters style work.

Please join us at the DAC Gallery  at 96 Franklin Street in downtown Clarksville Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. to celebrate this artist’s latest development in creative style and proficiency. The exhibition will hang throughout the month of July.
