Police ponder overturned vehicle found on river bank
Responding to a 911 call, Clarksville police found an overturned vehicle on the river bank at Crossland Avenue and Riverside Drive.
According to police reports, at approximately 11 a.m. on November 27, the 911 Emergency Center received a call reporting the vehicle and its location. CPD officers arrived on the scene to find a 1999 Dodge Durango upside down on the river bank. No one was found inside the vehicle.
Officers contacted the vehicle owner, Ryan D. Truett of Lavinia, whoinformed the officers he thought the vehicle had been repossessed and the last time he saw it was November 25 in Milan.
The vehicle had not been reported as stolen. As of this press release, police do not know how the vehicle came to be overturned on the river bank. Removing the vehicloe took approximately three hour
