Warrior Week activities announced

The 3rd Annual Clarksville Warrior Week will take place May 1-8, 2010. The week long celebration of our military men, women and their families is our small way of showing our appreciation and thanks for their service and sacrifice. The schedule is as follows:

Saturday, May 1 – General Jackson Dinner Cruise – 400 seats offered to Fort Campbell

Sunday, May 2 – Church appreciation services – letter campaign to local churches for recognition of their military congregation.

Monday, May 3 – Saturday, May 8 – Business Discount Week- to be listed in the Fort Campbell Courier in the Warrior Week publication

Monday, May 3 – Military Marksmanship Competition – sponsored by David King and Mid South Shooter Supply.

Tuesday, May 4 – Godfather Tournament – Clarksville Country Club. Registration at 11:30, lunch at 12:00, tee off at 1:00, dinner at 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday, May 4 – Movie Night at Great Escape- 6:30 p.m. – sponsored by Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union. Open to military ID card holders, first come, first serve.

Wednesday, May 5 – City Wide Lunches – to be listed in the Fort Campbell Courier in the Warrior Week publication

Thursday, May 6 – Eternal Flame Ceremony – 5:00 p.m. in Public Square –

Saturday, May 8 – Picnic and Fun Fair at Heritage Park, sponsored by the City of Clarksville, 1-5 p.m. –inflatables, pony rides, petting zoo, free food, softball challenge between Fort Campbell soldiers and Clarksville-Montgomery County. Movie in the Park – 6:00 p.m. (open to the public)

Business can ofer discounts and other incentives that can be listed in the Fort Campbell Courier. All restaurants that offer a discount to Military ID card holders on Wednesday, May 5  will also be listed in the publication. The RSVP date for listing a business is April 5.
